Interesting that they are describing an "influx" of requests for gender changes. Unfortunate how they responded to that signal. Is chess not an activity in which we should abolish separation of sexes altogether? I imagine there are better ways to encourage equal participation of sexes than to hold separate events with separate titles that promote perception of male-female differences in rights and capabilities.
